How much can I borrow?

Most lenders start from an income multiple, often around four to four and a half times your income, then adjust for credit commitments, deposit and how affordable the payments look. This calculator gives a quick indicative range.

Every lender scores affordability differently, and the right one for you is not always your own bank. We compare the whole market to find the lender most likely to say yes at a competitive rate.
