On 23 July, Tom Clifton from Spolton Mortgages spent the day at RAF College Cranwell for Cranfest, supporting RAF Families Day and meeting members of the local Armed Forces community.
Cranfest brings serving personnel and their families together for a day of activities, entertainment and family fun. With RAF Cranwell located only a short distance from our Sleaford office, we were pleased to be involved and show our support for the people who serve, as well as the families behind them.
A little friendly competition at Cranfest
Tom brought along a couple of free competitions for visitors to enjoy throughout the day.
People could test their aim on our cornhole game for the chance to win a LEGO Technic JCB, or try to guess how many sweets were hidden inside the jar.
There was no catch and no mortgage quiz required. It was simply a bit of fun and another reason for people to stop, have a chat and enjoy the day.
Although Tom was available to answer any mortgage questions that came up, the event was really about supporting the RAF Cranwell community and saying thank you to those who serve, along with the families who support them every day.
Supporting the Armed Forces community around Sleaford
RAF College Cranwell has a long and important connection with Sleaford and the surrounding area. Many serving personnel, veterans and Armed Forces families live in nearby communities such as Cranwell Village, Ruskington, Leasingham, North Rauceby and Sleaford itself.
